Author: Smith, William Place: Philadelphia Publisher: John Dunlap Date: 1779 Description: 35, [1] pp. (12mo) 19.5x12 cm (7¾x4¾") disbound. First Edition. Errata pasted to verso of second leaf. Dedicated to George Washington. The printer John Dunlap is best known as the first to print the US Declaration of Independence. Sabin 84668; Evans 16526. OCLC lists 16 copies but not copies appear in auction records since 1918. Lot Amendments Condition: Disbound, outer leaves browned and lightly worn, library duplicate stamp on final leaf; very good.
