A shinto daisho Edo period (17th century), the katana with signature Sukehiro and with date inscription in accordance with 1654; the wakizashi signed Omi no kami Minamoto Hisamichi with a chrysanthemum mon KATANA : Sugata [configuration]: honzukuri, iori-mune , even breadth, shallow curve, chu-kissaki Kitae [forging pattern]: ko-itame Hamon [tempering pattern]: gunome midare, ashi, yo , of nie reaching almost to the shinogi in places Boshi [tip]: ko-maru Nakago [tang]: suriage, o-sujigai file marks on ura, kiri file marks on upper part of omote o-sujigai file marks on lower part bearing the two character signature Sukehiro, kirijiri Habaki [collar]: double copper gilt Nagasa [length of blade]: 68.3cm WAKIZASHI : Sugata [configuration]: honzukuri, iori-mune , deep curve with fumbari, chu-kissaki Kitae [forging pattern]: ko-itame with fine ji-nie Hamon [tempering pattern]: o-notare with gunome-midare broad ashi, sunagashi Boshi [tip]: ko-maru Nakago [tang]: suriage , two mekugi-ana, sujigai file marks, kirijiri Habaki [collar]: double copper gilt Nagasa [length of blade]: 53.1cm Koshirae [mounting]: 19th-20th century The daisho koshirae with black lacquered saya , round shakudo nanako tsuba , the sho with single kozuka hitsu-ana , and kozuka of shakudo nanako with cranes fying over the sea in takazogan with gilt details, menuki of gilt dragons and triple gilt roundels of paired stags horns respectively, fuchi-kashira of shakudo nanako with cranes in takazogan , gilt details, both signed Sadayoshi with a kao Both blades with shirasaya having inscriptions by Hakusui , that for the sword with inscription Sukehiro also with a statement that the blade is illustrated in Osaka Shinto zufu (4)
