A SIX PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE ON TWO HANDLED TRAY, maker's mark of Gorham, 1919, the tray 1918, comprising tea kettle, stand and lamp, teapot, vase form coffee pot, two handled sugar bowl and cover, cream jug, and waste bowl, each compressed spherical on molded circular foot, with applied mid band, above flat chased and engraved with band of scrolling foliage and flowerheads, with oxidation between, centering front and back oval cartouche, one engraved with script monogram, below the band decorated with small panels of scroll enclosed flowerhead divided by foliate scrolls at intervals, with partly reeded, stylized leaf capped loop handle, the pots with partly horizontally reeded scroll spout, the hinged flat cover with conforming decoration and topped by silver mounted ivory button finial, the tea kettle on chained circular stand on four curling scroll supports resting on ivory button feet, the central burner with ivory tipped handle, the tea kettle with fixed overhead handle-- height of tea kettle on stand over handle 14¼in. (36.1cm.) ; the oval tray with shaped ends, the center monogrammed within flowering foliate surround, the molded border with conforming panels, with two partly reeded handles-- length over handles 31in. (78.7cm.), gross weight 350oz. (7)
