A Small & Delightful Hand-painted Cream-ware Teapot, Circa 1770. The globular body having narrow edging bands of moulded gadrooning with a branch-form 'crabstock' spout, reeded twist handles with sprigged floral terminals and a floral knop to the inset lid. The deep cream sides painted in rust-red & dark brown with a lady fishing on one side and a towered building on the other, with pink, yellow & green enamels enriching the floriate mouldings, 4½ ins (11 cms) in height (A/F).
