A SOUTH ITALIAN GNATHIA WARE KANTHAROS 4TH CENTURY B.C. Decorated with two bands of laurel and vines around the neck, rays around the upper body, 5 in. (12.5 cm.) high; a black glazed lekythos, decorated with net pattern, circa 4th Century B.C., 7 in. (18 cm.) high; a large pottery lagynos with remains of cream coloured decoration, 15 in. (38 cm.) high, circa 3rd-1st Century B.C.; a Villanovan impasto ware kyathos, the fluted body with protruding knobs around the shoulder, vertical rim and high looped strap handle with openwork triangle, the interior in white with alternate vertical rows of quadruple lines and swastikas, circa 7th Century B.C., 7 in. (18 cm.) diam.; two similar Villanovan impasto ware kantharoi, late 8th/early 7th Century B.C., 5½ in. (14 cm.) diam. max.; an Etruscan bucchero ware chalice, 7 in. (18 cm.) high; a bucchero footed twin-handled cup, 9 in. (23 cm.) diam., both 6th Century B.C.; a Cypriot bichrome ware jug decorated with vertical and horizontal concentric circles, 750-600 B.C., 9½ in. (24 cm.) high; and a Cypriot white slip ware 'milk' bowl with circular handle, with latticed and lozenge bands, circa 1450-1200 B.C., 5¾ in. (14.5 cm.) diam. (10)
