A Stag Horn and Wood Pipecase, Three Ivory Pipecases, and an Ivory Cane Handle** Edo-Meiji period (19th century), the second inscribed Kotobuki , the third signed Kawamoto Shuraku , the fourth signed Hosai to Comprising an Asakusa school stag antler pipecase carved with lozenges containing a dragon and clouds with sacred jewels, shell embellishments, wood top; an Asakusa school stained-ivory pipecase carved with chrysanthemums and "collars" of wave patterns, the top with a band of formal lappets; a stained-ivory pipecase carved in low relief with an immortal in waves holding sacred jewels, a dragon on his back, the top carved with a stylized dragon in sunken relief, "woven bamboo" handle, bamboo and silver pipe with snowflakes hot-stamped; an ivory pipecase with Ushiwakamaru (Yoshitsune) carved in sunken relief, details stained; an ivory cane handle carved with turtles in relief 9½in.
