(8vo) period speckled calf, rebacked with modern calf, spine lettered in gilt, raised bands. Fifth edition. The previous editions did not contain the eight finely engraved plates, masterful examples of understated humor. The added portrait engraving of Jonathan Swift has been supplied at a later date. Teerink 222. Condition: Light binding wear nicely stabilized, occasional browning and spotting but mostly clean; minor worming throughout, sometimes repaired; plate facing p.56 soiled and crudely colored; very good.
