This netsuke shows her sitting on her knees with a fan made from stained horn in both hands and is easily recognizable by her chubby cheeks as well as the two black brows on her forehead, called Bobo mayuge. The garment patterns are very fine, dense and small, partly with inset mother-of-pearl. The himotoshi are set with dark horn. Signature YASUTAKA 保孝, a student of Yasuaki from the Tokyo school.
