A TRANSITIONAL ORMOLU-MOUNTED TULIPWOOD AND MARQUETRY TABLE DE NUIT, the circular pierced galleried-top inlaid with a musical trophy within a chequer-banded border on an amaranth ground, the plain frieze with tambour-slide enclosing a fitted interior with three tulipwood drawers, upon cabriole legs joined by a circular pierced galleried undertier inlaid with a central medallion of an urn flanked by flowers, and on splayed legs with ormolu sabots, restorations, numbered 2357 overall, possibly North European, the marquetry old and re-used 14½in. (37cm.) diam.; 29¾in. (78cm.) high
