(18.5cm.) square and outer guard box This chronometer was manufactured in 1957. The balance cock and bowl scallop-plate are both engraved - Thomas Mercer. St. Albans. Herts. 13 Jewels ; Mercer's had to do this to comply with then current U.S. Custom's Regulations for any chronometer being imported in to America. Included is a Rating Certificate of Victor Auguste Gustin Philadelphia, U.S.A.
