With swamped browned 14 in. barrels engraved with acanthus foliage at the rear, and signed 'Barbar' within a border engraved raised flat panel terminating in a loop on the upper side of the breech, iron blade fore-sights within an engraved oval and set well back from the muzzles, shaped tangs engraved with a rocaille and foliage, signed rounded detented locks each with large engraved safety-catch and raised border on the plate, cock and steel, the last with slender central protrusion, moulded figured walnut full stocks with artificial extra figuring each carved in relief with a shell behind the barrel tang, engraved and chiselled bright steel mounts, finely pierced foliate side-plates involving an oval cartouche, engraved trigger-guards with first pattern acorn finial, chiselled foliate escutcheons, engraved spurred pommels each with oval cap chiselled in relief with a flower-head against a punched ground, turned iron ramrod-pipes (both forward pipes holed and with some surface pitting), and original horn-tipped ramrods, one with worm, both pistols in very fine little-used condition, London proof marks (3) 21 in. (53.3 cm.)
