A VICTORIAN COMPOSITE FIVE PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE WITH A PLATED SIMILAR TEA KETTLE STAND AND LAMP, comprising, with maker's marksof: teapot CHECK MAKER, coffee pot-- London, 1868, J. Waple; cream jug and two handled sugar bowl, Sheffield, 1861, Martin Hall & Co., a differing cream jug, London, 1857, maker's mark CB, the plated tea kettle Martin Hall & Co., each pear shaped, one cream jug and the sugar bowl on four beaded scroll feet with pierced apron between, two sides with chased C scroll enclosed plain oval cartouche supported by floral spray, above chased with foliate rising to double flowers, similar scrolls and foliage, with part foliate scroll handles, the coffee pot with similar decoration and scalework, with partly reeded and beaded spout with elaborate join, the molded domed cover with shell and foliate scroll shaped rim, topped by cast double flower finial-- the coffee pot 9½in. (24.1cm.) high WEIGH WITH TEA POT the teakettle with similar decoration to the sugar bowl, the eagle head spout terminating in grotesque mask, the raised florally chased hinged cover with scroll and foliate shaped rim, topped by eagle with outstrethced wings, with part decorated multi scroll overhead handle, the chained oblong stand on four elaborate scroll feet, applied with arabesques-- height of teakettle on stand over handle 17¼in.
