A Victorian skeleton timepiece Attributed to James Condliff; retailed by George Evans Liverpool; circa 1860 The brass frame elegantly pierced out in scoll form and having six double-screwed pillars, single chain fusee, unusual platform lever escapement with brass balance and flat blued hair spring, the silvered Roman dial with blued moon hands, rectangular brass base on bun feet and applied with a slivered plaque to the front engraved George Evans Liverpool , mahogany oval plinth; assoicated glass dome (cracked). 16½ in. (42 cm.) high, over dome.
