A well detailed static display model of the Steam Yacht Corsair of circa 1890, with masts, booms and rigging, bird figurehead, anchors and anchor davits, fairleads, bollards, deck winch, capstan, coaling shutes, deck lights, glazed and panelled deck houses with companionways, deck rails, saloon with open bridge with helm, telegraph, binnacle, stayed funnel with safety valve extension pipes and filter, ventilators, aft deck house, aft stearing position, five ship's boats in davits, and much other fine detailing. The hull, with portholes, single shaft with four-blade propeller and rudder, is finished in green, black and varnish, and mounted on two turned brass columns on inlaid mahogany display base -- 19 x 42in. (48.2 x 106.2cm.). Glazed case and table. Measurements overall -- 57 x 56in. (144.8 x 142.2cm.) See Illustration
