A well engineered 3in. scale model of the Foden 'J' type articulated steam wagon Reg. No. AF 6228 'Lemsford Witch' , built by A. Foster with brazed copper boiler with water gauge with shut-off cocks, pressure gauge, safety, blower, whistle, clack and blowdown valves with shut-off cocks. Engine details include cylinders 1in. and 1½in. bore x 2in. stroke, trunk type crosshead guides, mechanical and displacement lubricators, Stephenson's link reverse, counterbalanced crankshaft with roller bearings, chain and eccentric driven feed pump and by-pass, two road speeds, whistle, bearing oil pots and disc flywheel. Chassis details include Ackerman steering, wheels with rubber tyres and brass hubcaps, working leaf springs, chain final drive, differential unit, rear wheel brakes, water tank and hand feed pump, cab with panelled roof, upholstered seats, opening doors with catches, drivers foot rests and flat bed trailer, finished in green, red and black with brown and yellow lining and polished brightwork, the engine side plates lettered 'A Foster Steam Haulage' and 'No. 2' -- 26 x 97in.
