A well engineered model of a 7 1/4 inch gauge 0-4-0 Narrow Gauge Quarry engine ‘Elinor’, built by the late Mr Geoffrey Winter of Cardiff MES in 2001. The locomotive with cab detail including twin sight glasses, regulator, pressure gauges, drain cocks, direction control and vacuum brake lever. The steel boiler with copper tubes was built by Bennett Boilers. Fitted safety valves and whistle. The chassis having twin outside cylinders, drain cocks, Stephenson’s reverse valve gear, two injectors, ratchet lubricating system, vacuum brakes and working leaf springs. The locomotive finished in red and black livery with brass edging and comes together with a braked ‘wagon type’ driving trolley and transportation stand. Locomotive measurements Length 126cm. Width 51cm. Height 84cm. Boiler History: Boiler Identity No ACE 725365. Southern Federation of Model Engineers Societies Boiler Test Certificate No 178893 Hydraulic test expired the 18th of October 2016. Test Pressure 135 psi. Steam test expired the 11th of October 2016 Working pressure 90 psi. Please note: This Locomotive has Hackworth valve gear, not Stephenson's valve gear as stated in the catalogue. And is sold with a scissor jacking stand as well as a transportation board for use in a car or van.
