A well-engineered model of an over-type vertical live steam mill engine, built by Mr D. Russell of Fraserburgh based on the Stewart Hart design as documented in the Model Engineer No 4496. Volume 213. The single cylinder with planked cladding and parallel guides to over-crank with eccentric operated steam valve supported on four turned columns, spoked flywheel 14cm diameter, finished in red paintwork with polished bright-work and mounted on hardwood plinth measuring 17cm x 17 cm. Overall height 29cm.
