A WELL PRESENTED STATIC DISPLAY SCALE MODEL OF THE NORTH GERMAN LLOYD SHIPPING COMPANY'S LINER BREMEN OF CIRCA 1929 modelled by J. Austin with masts, crows nests, hooter, radio aerial, derricks and wire rigging, stayed anchors, fairleads, bollards, hawse pipes, anchor capstans, wood capped deck rails, wash deflectors, covered hatches, companionways, winches, ventilators, deck lights, superstructure with bridge and wing bridges, telegraphs, binnacle over, twenty-six covered lifeboats in davits, liveried funnels, float plane and catapault, engine room lights, aft cranes and other details. The hull with portholes, shafts to four four-blade brass propellors and rudder, is finished in red, back and white and mounted on four turned brass columns within mahogany glazed display case and stand. Overall measurements -- 60½ x 126 x 22¾in. (153.5 x 320 x 56.5cm.) See illustration
