Scarce and important abstract of title of a large portion of the Main Street Addition, part of the historic district of Houston. With the addition was a "Tract of Land" owned by J.C. Hutcheson, Sr., the noted Texas politician, and father of J.C. Hutcheson, Jr., sometime Mayor of Houston, and federal judge. While abstracts for the separate houses, ranchos, and other single properties of the Houston region are not uncommon, those for city streets, or entire neighborhoods and subdivisions, seem quite rare - we have encountered only a few in the past.
