(7¾x5"), original light green cloth, spine lettered in gilt & ruled in black, front cover lettered & pictorially decorated in black. First Edition. Rodenbough, himself a brevetted Brigadier General, wrote several important books on the Civil War. Here he summarizes the developing drama in Afghanistan that ended so catastrophically for the British. Lot Amendments Condition: Some soiling and rubbing to covers, fraying to spine ends; very good.
