Typed 1 page agreement for three concerts in May 1964 in Boston, Philadelphia and Detroit. Signed by Friedman but not signed by Bruce. At the top of the letter, Bruce has lined out J.Z.Z. Productions and written in blue ink “I want deal between me & Don”, returning it with a copy of his 1959 contract with Fantasy records with annotated changes. The contract, including Bruce’s interlineations, is a photostat, but with several passages underscored by Bruce in the same blue ink. Included is a second copy of the letter of agreement, also a photostat, amending the agreement to two performances because of “refusal of halls in Boston…and Philadelphia”. Not signed by Bruce but with his inked annotations in the upper corner. Friedman produced Bruce’s legendary Carnegie Hall performance in 1961.
