Air Mail cover 1929 (21 Jan.) envelope from Surrey to The British Legation at Kabul c/o the Postmaster at Peshawar, franked at 1½d. and marked on reverse "Received at Kabul on 10/2/29. by Air mail from Peshawar. Pilot Squadron-Leader Maxwell" , signed by G.H. Siranger and with Special Inspector Foreign Mail c.d.s. below; the envelope with two creases though very rare, being one of only four covers believed to have been flown during the evacuation of Kabul during the winter of 1928/9; also 1929 (13 Feb.) envelope from Srinagar complete with letter on British Legation paper with mention of the envelope described above and the troubles.
