He studied at Northwich School of Art in Cheshire and, in 1990, he was commissioned by Timeform to paint HRH The Princess Royal, and from 1997 to the present, he has been Artist in Residence for The Royal Ascot Racing Club by invitation of The Duke of Devonshire.
