Bill Wilson and Clarence Snyder were known to disagree on the subject of anonymity, Snyder did not support the concept. The gentleman to whom the volume is inscribed, Leonard A. (Cracker) Smith has written his name and address on the front pastedown endpaper. On the contents pages the identities of the authors of the Personal Stories have all been identified in pencil with their full names and home cities.
