Alexej von Jawlensky, (1864-1941) Deutsch: Kopf (staunend). 1922. Mit Pastellkreide handkolorierte Lithographie auf gelblichem Velin. Eines der sehr seltenen kolorierten Exemplare, einziges bisher bekanntes Exemplar mit Pastellkreidekolorierung. 49,5 x 38,1 cm. Unten rechts signiert: axjawlensky. Hinter Glas gerahmt. Provenienz: Privatsammlung. Das Blatt wurde 1963 in einer Auktion im Kunsthaus Lempertz, Köln erworben. 1975 wurde es in der Ausstellung Grafik aus Krefelder Sammlungen im Krefelder Kunstverein ausgestellt. Von dem vorliegenden Motiv sind nur wenige Exemplare bekannt, davon zwei aquarellierte Exemplare, von denen sich jeweils ein Blatt im Kunstmuseum Düsseldorf bzw. in der Städtischen Kunstsammlung Gelsenkirchen befinden, in der Staatlichen Graphischen Sammlung München ein unkoloriertes Blatt. In 1975 it was exhibited in the exhibition 'Graphics from Krefeld Collections' at the Krefeld Kunstverein. Only a few copies of the present motif are known, two of them colored with watercolors, one sheet of which is in the Kunstmuseum Düsseldorf and the Städtische Kunstsammlung Gelsenkirchen, respectively, and an uncolored sheet in the Staatliche Graphische Sammlung München.
