De medicina Aegyptiorum libri quatuor , Paris: widow of Guillaume Pelé and Jean Duval, 1646, 4°, woodcut illustrations including 2 full page on 2A3v and 2C4v (generally browned, some rust spots, lower margins affected by damp, 2R4 torn with very minor loss, heavy stain at head of 3C3), old vellum (bowed, one lettering piece a little rubbed). [Krivatsy 237; cf. GM 6468 for first edition of 1591: "the first important work on the history of Egyptian medicine. Alpini became professor of botany at Padua after having spent three years in Egypt"
