CGC certified: Fine/VF (7.0). Off-white to white pages. Cover: John Romita, Frank Giacoia. Story and art: Stan Lee, Gil Kane Frank Giacoia, Tony Mortellaro (backgrounds). Anniversary ish. GPAnalysis: A 7.0 sold for $280 in September 2021. Last consecutive issue dialogued/scripted by Stan Lee. Going out with a bang, Stan gives Spidey six arms and leaves it up to Roy Thomas to deal with the extra appendages as best he can. Although Stan soon returned to script a handful of mostly undistinguished issues, this ish marks the climax of his unbroken run on The Amazing Spider-Man. If one considers the Lee-Ditko-Romita-Kane Spider-Man saga as a cohesive storyline, unified by a single narrative voice, this ish marks the final chapter (with the Thomas-scripted conclusion serving as a sort of coda signaling the shape of things to come in the post-Lee era). A limited edition of 150 softcover and 15 hardcover catalogues is available. 400 lots, fully illustrated. Fun reference, great keepsake. Softcover $30, deluxe hardcover with dust jacket and limitation plate $200. Ten of the 15 hardcovers are pre-ordered and the rest will go quickly, so reserve yours now. To order, contact [email protected] . Consignments welcome for PBA's December 2021 Comic Book sale. Top prices for Pre-Code Horror, Golden Age, Silver Age, original art and ephemera.
