American School, 19th Century Family Record and Memorial. Unsigned. Watercolor and pen and ink on paper, c. 1833, depicting the vital statistics of Russell Streeter of North Adams, Massachusetts, and Chesterfield, New Hampshire, born April 15, 1791 and his wife Clarinda Cook, born July 9, 1795, who were married October 22, 1812, their six children, and the three children born to Russell and his second wife Faustina Cook married in 1825, after his first wife died December 27, 1824; the statistics are inscribed within an ornate arched pavilion with columns, drapery, tassels, and angels; a female figure standing next to the pavilion and an anchor representing hope, points skyward, a sailing vessel flying an American flag sails on a body of water in the background; the death statistics inscribed in a monument flanked by a weeping willow tree, 17 x 22 in., in a period molded gilt gesso frame.
