Beschreibung:

This sword features a double edged diamond section steel blade marked on the ricasso on the right side "NP Ames/ Springfield" and on the other side "U.S.N. 184-/ NWP". Features a cast brass two piece hilt of standard form with scale decorated grip and eagles on each side of the pommel. This sword is complete with its black leather scabbard with brass mounts. CONDITION: Very fine. Blade shows a bright surface overall with some nicks to edges and scattered areas of corrosion. Markings show some wear. Hilt retains a dark patina with some scattered marks from use. Scabbard is very good with some cracks to surface and one small area of loss near drag.
