Dublin edition of Cook's First Voyage, detailing his journey to Tahiti to observe the transit of Venus, and his charting of New Zealand, the east coast of Australia, etc. This edition also includes Phipps' Voyage towards the North Pole. Armorial bookplate of Lambert Cameron Jackson. Lot Amendments Condition: Some rubbing and wear to covers, joints cracked or tender, Vol. II split through vertically along spine, so text block is in two pieces; some marginal foxing, internally very good, cleaner than usually found, in need of repair to the bindings.
