An album of mainly 17th and 18th century engravings and etchings, some earlier, loosely inserted, tipped in or corner-mounted, many on laid paper, some watermarked, with notes and annotations, preceded by an index of artists, to include: Baccio Baldini (1436-1487) , ''The Inferno'', after the Camposanto fresco by Andrea Orcagna in Pisa, engraving on laid paper, 22.5 x 28.5 cm, 'W.E.' collector's mark in ink to top left corner, inscription to verso, Provenance: Lieut. General William Dowdeswell Sale, no' 150, 1828; Enea Vico (1523-1567) after Raphael ''Entombment of Christ'', circa 1543, engraving on wove paper, published by Antonio Salamanca (1479-1562), 29.5 x 20.5 cm; Giulio Bonasone (1498-1580) after Perino del Vaga , ''Saint Paul Preaching'' (Bartsch 72), circa 1545, engraving on wove paper, 24.5 x 16.5 cm; also ''St. Peter and St. John Healing the Cripple'' (Bartsch 73), 24.8 x 16.8 cm; Giovanni Giacomo de Rossi (1627-1691) after Adamo Scultori , Allegory of Servitude, engraving on laid paper, 'IHS' with a cross watermark, 20.5 x 14 cm; and others.
