An aquamarine ring, the central oval mixed cut light blue aquamarine measuring approximately 23.5mm x 15.5mm x 10.4mm, within a pierced scrolling border surround in yellow and white gold set throughout with small eight-cut diamonds, continuing to split shoulders and engraved detailed shank, total weight 10.97gms This aquamarine has been assessed by The Gem and Pearl Laboratory, who have provided the following statement: To whom it may concern, Examined an oval, faceted mixed-cut, transparent light blue gemstone, mounted with small faceted, colourless stones on a ring. Gemstone dimensions: length ~ 23 – 24 mm, width ~ 15 – 26 mm, depth: 10.4 mm Weight of ring + 10.97 grams RESULT: NATURAL AQUAMARINE Best Regards, Steve Kennedy Gem and Pearl Laboratory Limited Overall condition is good. The central aquamarine has some small nibbles to the edge of the table facet, and some minor scratches, but is in otherwise very good condition. There are some abrasions and small chips to the single cut diamonds set to the border. There are splits in the mount and some small areas of the scrolling detail missing, particularly concentrated around the bottom rim. Shoulders are in good order, shank does show some slight areas of thinning and some minor misshaping. Due to the mixed cut of the aquamarine we are unable to provide an accurate carat weight - we have however provided the approximate measurements of the stones. The approximate size of the ring is L 1/2. The aquamarine colour is a pale greyish-blue. The aquamarine is clean under a 10x loupe.
