An Assortment of British WW1 Officers' Field Equipment A leather-bound private purchase canvas haversack with webbing carrying-strap, the side-pockets containing a First Field Dressing and whistle; a good and very complete aluminium messing-set, by BUHARTO , consisting of a circular mess-tin with lid, plate, mug, tea strainer, pepper and salt pots and four small canisters containing tea and sugar; an aluminium waterbottle in serge cover, with canvas carrier; a small canvas wallet containing cards of buttons; a leather case containing two cut-throat razors; a folding trench lantern, in its canvas holder (talc windows slightly defective); a knife-and-fork combination in the form of a two-bladed penknife; an AB 153 (Field Message Book) in its cover, in a canvas wallet inscribed in ink B.G.E.Haywood. 2/Lt.
