An Assortment of Military Memorabilia &c A Queen's South Africa medal, with clasps for ORANGE FREE STATE and CAPE COLONY , named to 884 3 r d CL TPR A. McLENNAN S.A.C. ; an oblong Turkish white metal belt-clasp, of German style, mounted with a Crescent and Star device; a small silver Persian coin, bearing the Lion and Sun emblem on the reverse, the obverse now ground and engraved with inscription No 728 T.J. McLENNAN RE BAGHDAD 1918 , and fitted with suspension-loops; a Princess Mary Christmas 1914 gift-tin, containing greetings-card and brass cartridge-case engraved with M cypher; an "Absent-Minded Beggar" cigarette-packet (now flattened and split) with one cigarette (also flattened); a percussion muff-pistol; a copper powder-flask bearing embossed shell decoration, with spring-loaded brass nozzle; a leather shot-carrier, also with sprung brass nozzle; a brown pottery milk-jug, 6in. high, both sides decorated with a battle-scene in bas relief; and an orange sash of watered silk bearing a white metal device of the Arms and Title of the Orange Free State within a bayleaf wreath (lot)
