Lot Description: An Early 20th Century Brussels Point De Gaze Needle Lace Fan , mounted on pink mother-of-pearl, the net handmade, the flowers varied in species. Contained in a cream card fan box marked inside the lid for J Duvelleroy, LONDON, 167, Regent Street W. Guard length 9.5/8 inches or 24.5cm. Together with A Bone Fan, circa 1900 , the monture carved, pierced, and piqué with small steel dots. The cream gauze leaf is embroidered with a profusion of tiny silver sequin and star shaped spangles, creating a shooting star or comet and its trails across the night sky. (2) Condition Report: . First fan, a few tiny breaks in the net, unwashed cream in colour, no raised roses.
