An early Victorian walnut chiming bracket clock of gabled architectural outline in the Gothic style, the polygonal spires with foliate and bud finials, with outset cluster columns, tracery sound frets to the sides, foliate carved door to the arched silvered engraved Roman dial with foliate spandrels, subsidiary Strike/Silent and Slow/Fast dials above, signed CONNELL CHEAPSIDE LONDON 787 , the substantial triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, chiming on eight bells with eight hammers, with hour strike on gong, the backplate with repeat signature and pendulum holdfast -- 30¾in.(78cm.) high See Illustration
