Lot Description: An Edward VII Gold Medal, Maker's Mark JM, Possibly for Joseph Moore Birmingham, 1901, 18ct, Supplied by Spiridion and Sons, Cardiff, circular the obverse with a shield chased with the Welsh dragon below a Prince-of-Wales feather and within the legend 'National Cyclists Union South Wales Centre', the reverse engraved with an inscription within laurel branches, 3.3cm diameter, 10dwt (15.4gr) The inscription reads 'J. A. Metcalf Winner One Mile Cycle Championship 1901' Condition Report: . Fully marked on side with engraving. The marks are clear. Further stamped 'Spiridion Cardiff' below Welsh dragon.
