Hinton Date: 1757 Description: xvi, 336 pp. (8vo) period half calf and marbled boards. Third Edition (first combined edition). The first work was originally published in 1750, the second in a separate edition the same year as the present first combined edition. "Huxham studied at Leiden under Boerhaave for three years and returned to England following his graduation, eventually settling in Plymouth where he developed an extensive practice and achieved considerable fame. His Essay on fevers and A dissertation on the malignant ulcerous sore-throat are his best-known works." Heirs of Hippocrates 820 & 822 (for first editions of both works).
