With certificate 10179597 dated 30/7/1997 from the Gemological Institute of America stating that the 12.29 carat diamond is fancy dark grey-greenish yellow, natural colour, and certificates 10155517 and 9708033 dated 24/7/1997 and 20/8/1997 from the Gemological Institute of America and the Gbelin Gemmological Laboratories stating that the 3.24 carat diamond is fancy orangy pink, natural colour, VVS1 clarity, the Gbelin certificate accompanied by an appendix stating: "The diamond of 3.24 ct possesses a high degree of transparency which is particular to type IIa natural diamonds. Diamonds of this type will most certainly evoke references to the historic term of `Golconda'".
