AN IMPORTANT PEARL AND DIAMOND TIARA, designed as a series of pearl and diamond clusters with scroll and foliate surrounds and drop shape pearl surmounts, mounted in silver and gold, circa 1895, in original fitted Boucheron case 17.0cm. wide Frédéric Boucheron moved the family firm from the Palais-Royal to 26, Place Vendôme in 1893. The style and manufacture of this tiara is very reminiscent of those made by Boucheron at around the turn of the century just prior to the advent of the more geometric Art Deco designs usually set in platinum Cf.
