An impressive Indian silver punch bowl, late 19th century. Of circular form, ornately embossed in high relief with four equally spaced panels depicting various hunting scenes with Indian and British huntsmen, lions and tigers enclosed within a foliate acanthus scroll borders, the bowl supported on a raised circular foot. Mark of Heerappa Boochens Goldsmiths of Poona, India. 8.2 in (20.9 cm) diameter. Weight: 1360 grams.
