AN ITALIAN ORMOLU-MOUNTED, IVORY, SPECIMEN MARBLE AND TORTOISESHELL-INLAID EBONY TABLE CABINET EARLY 17TH CENTURY Banded overall with geometric motifs, inset with various marble including verde antico, portasanta and africano , the spreading rectangular top with secret niche , above a pair of hinged doors inlaid conformingly and enclosing an architectural interior enriched with medallions, figures and cartouches, fitted with ten variously-sized drawers arranged around a central cupboard with secret well, above a moulded plinth fitted with a further two drawers, some ormolu elements later 26½ in. (67.5 cm.) high; 27¾ in. (70.5 cm.) wide; 15 in. (38 cm.) deep
