Marshall 1792 § Smeaton (John) A Report upon the Harbour of King's Lynn, in Norfolk, folding engraved map, central folds, original blue wrappers, edges uncut, [ESTC lists 1 copy only], n.p., [1767] § At a Meeting of Owners of Land Lying in the Middle and South Levels of the Fens, and on each side of the River Ouze, from Denver-Sluice, to King's Lynn, 3pp., drophead title, first page slightly soiled, [not in ESTC], n.p., 1792 § Reasons why the Eau-Brink Cut Bill Ought NOT to pass into a Law, printed sheet, drophead title, map at head, folds, [ESTC lists 2 copies only of this edition], [?London], [1793], slightly browned; and a quantity of others, River Ouse (Bedford Levels), Eau-Brink Cut, including reports by Sir Thomas Hyde Page, John Watté and Robert Mylne etc., some manuscript, most printed, some duplicates, v.s., v.d. (qty). *** The Eau Brink cut was created by bypassing the great bend of the river Ouse above King's Lynn. The Eau Brink Act was enacted in 1795, but the cut was finally opened in 1821. The original chief engineer was Sir Thomas Hyde Page. Provenance: Earl of Hardwicke Papers, some with ink stamps.
