An unusual 18th-century manuscript globe , unsigned the wood sphere diameter 12in. (30.5mm), overall height 18in. (457 mm), the manuscript over painted in white and re-drawn with ecliptic, equatonical and tropic circles (wear and old abrasions to surface), the internal surface of the sphere lined with calico, the centre pin with polar circles and caps removable, the brass meridian half-circle engraved in two-quadrals and possibly re-made from an earlier circle, with iron axis pin, on turned oak stand.
