Full-page engraved royal coat-of-arms above cityscape of Lisbon seen from the harbour and full-page author portrait dated 1721, both by Bernard Picart engraved calligraphic part title, and 44 engraved numbered plates, woodcut title ornament, head- and tailpieces. (Small wormholes or -track, repaired in some leaves, with slight loss in several plates, repaired tears in 4 plates, scattered small stains, notably on about 15 plates, one plate just shaved within platemark.) Modern speckled sheep, gilt spine, red lettering-piece, speckled edges. Provenance : Xavier da Costa (bookplate).
