Ane Marie Hansen (b. Knardrup near Ballerup 1852, d. Copenhagen 1941) Interior with two women in conversation. Unsigned. Oil on canvas. 51×65 cm. Ane Marie Hansen studied at The Women's Drawing School (Tegneskolen for Kvinder) under Vilhelm Kyhn in 1872. Subsequently, she was a student for two winters at The Artists' Free Study School (Kunstnernes Frie Studieskoler) under P. S. Krøyer. She had her debut at the December Exhibition at Charlottenborg in 1884 and then became a regular exhibitor at Charlottenborg. She also exhibited with Kunstnerforeningen af 18. November and participated at the Women’s Exhibition (Kvindernes Udstilling fra Fortid og Nutid) in 1895 and the Women Artists’ Retrospective Exhibition (Kvindelige Kunstneres Retrospektive Udstilling) in 1920 in Copenhagen.
