Woodcut device on title (some spotting and waterstaining, a few small holes in last leaf slightly affects text). 19th-century half calf (rebacked with original spine preserved, slightly soiled). Provenance : L.A. Burd (armorial bookplate). Adams A1188; Hoffmann I, p.169. CLEMENT of Alexandria. Ta euriskomena [graecè] ... Opera quae extant , edited by John Potter. Oxford: Sheldonian, for G. Mortlock, 1715. 2 volumes, 2° (391 x 242mm). Engraved device on title of volume I (a little browning, spotting and waterstaining, large brown stain in last 5 leaves of vol. II). Contemporary English panelled calf (rebacked with one original label preserved). Provenance : Repton School (gilt ownership stamp, dated 1723, on upper covers and bookplate). Hoffmann I, p.456.
