Two silk flags, U.S. and U.S.S.R., July 1975, 100 x 150 mm & 105 x 155 mm, mounted together on board, 400 x 500 mm, with 177 x 177 mm (7 x 7 inch) color photograph, presentation label, framed.
Provenance: Beverly Joan Gresham, Customer Relations at North American Rockwell/Rockwell International, Space Systems Division, 1954-1999.
EXTREMELY RARE PRESENTATION OF TWO FLOWN FLAGS, SIGNED by members of both U.S. and Soviet crews: THOMAS STAFFORD, VANCE BRAND, DEKE SLAYTON, ALEXEI LEONOV, and VALERY KUBASOV. Presentation label states: "These flags were flown aboard the Apollo and Soyuz spacecraft during the world's first international manned space flight, July 1975. They symbolize the ability of nations to work together successfully in space as on Earth."
