Poster calling for assistance for the "Kol Torah" yeshiva in Jerusalem. "Achva" Cooperative Press Ltd., [Tel Aviv], 1941. Hebrew. The poster calls on the public to assist the yeshiva, founded in Jerusalem in 1939 by rabbis from Germany and for German immigrants arriving in Palestine as a result of the "Kristallnacht" events. "You shall remember the day on which the synagogues and batei midrash in Germany were burnt three years ago, on 16 Heshvan 5699 (November 9, 1938) and you will not forget this terrible day, the first day of the great national catastrophe… and take part in rebuilding the ruins and reviving the lost spirit by assisting the 'Kol Torah' yeshiva founded recently in the Holy City by the best of German immigrants, its rabbis and public figures, as a house of education for the country's youth…" (Hebrew). Text printed on a ground illustration showing falling columns in flames. 49.5X71 cm. Fair condition. Tears, some open, restored professionally. Stains.
