Many examples are marked by their intentionality as copies, including the half plate daguerreotype of an elliptical portrait of a balding gentleman; an ambrotype of a painting of a woman wearing a cape and dark hat, housed in a heavy frame; and a daguerreotype after a stylized rendering of a well-dressed couple. Most images housed in full pressed paper or geometric union cases, with one half case and two under mat and glass only.
